Safety Officer

Responsibilities:Investigate accidentsConduct regular workplace inspectionsImplement OSH program in all Tesco officesRectify all unsafe workplace conditionsCoordinate assistance from the management to the injured worker in case of hospitalization and injury from accidents.Inspects worksites to ensure hazard-free environmentConducts toolbox meetings to ensure all tools and equipment are adequate and safe to useConducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.Promotes safety practices and enforces safety guidelines at the job site.Performs emergency response drills.Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors.Prepares monthly and annual OSH and WAIR reports.Qualifications:MUST HAVE at least 2 years of proven experience as a Safety OfficerIn-depth knowledge of OSH policies and procedureCan implement the OSH program in all our regional officesKnowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practicesMust have a mandatory forty (40) - hour basic OSH (BOSH) training course applicable to the industry;Proficient in MS Office;Outstanding organizational and negotiation skills to close cases of accidents and hospitalization.Diligent with great attention to detailExcellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present OSH orientation and create comprehensive incident reports.Preferably with a First Aid CertificateSalary Range: 15k plus allowances (Total Net Monthly Fee is P18k)
