Roles and Responsibilities:Responsible for providing timely, accurate, relevant & value-adding accounting & financial information to all relevant stakeholders, completion of closing, reporting and reconciliation activities, and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger account balances.Perform review function and a subject-matter expert of one or more processes (e.g. General Accounting and Reporting, Fixed Assets, Banking).Participate actively in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and projects organized by the company.Ensure accuracy of the general ledger - tasks include preparation of complex manual journal entries, execution of critical closing tasks, and preparation and distribution of various major periodic reports.Prepare manual journal entries that are complex in nature and require a higher level of finance and accounting knowledge.Park/Post manual journal entries in ERP and review manual journal entries prepared by other associates.Perform regular review and clearing of GL accounts. Prepare periodic account reconciliation (complex and high risk) and perform peer-review based on policy's requirements.Investigate reconciling items, prepare appropriate action plans, and monitor the timely resolution.Review account reconciliations and other reports prepared by other associates.Provide accounting support to local business partners and other non-finance departments (e.g. HR, Sales and Marketing, Procurement) particularly those transactions with complex accounting concepts.Communicate continuously with various stakeholders in business and respond on a timely manner to management queries in relation to actual results.
