The Reservations Associate acts as an ambassador to Newport World Resorts' guests and members by being the first to give them room information, build a good impression and meet their expectations. As part of the Revenue Management Team, he/she must have the selling skills and techniques, guest relation skills and communication skills required for the role. The position should always foster honesty, integrity, respect and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for creating an outstanding first impression of Newport World Resort's hotel property - Holiday Inn Express Hotel Promote and upsell Holiday Inn Express Hotel rooms and other Newport World Resorts' products and services In-charge in FIT (Foreign Individual Travellers) bookings not exceeding to more than nine (9) rooms Process room bookings that may originate from over-the-phone, via the internet through Online Travel Agencies (OTA) and other online booking channels including iCRS; also from Hotel Sales, International Marketing, Casino and other correspondents / departments Maintain good rapport when dealing with guests or clients over the phone or through email correspondence Smartly manage FIT bookings to yield and maximize hotel occupancy Maintain accurate records of all paper transactions (booking confirmation, deposit payments, LOAs, booking orders, etc.) Timely and appropriately send confirmation letters to guests who made room reservations Maintain knowledge of special rates / offers / promotions Responsible with the confidentiality of data and accuracy of reservations Make use of the property's reservation management system (iPMS and Opera) in a seamless manner Accomplish additional tasks that will be assigned as needed QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism or any related course Has at least one (1) to two (2) years experience in the same role and industry Has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to interact with customers of different personalities/nationalities Can work effectively with a team Adaptable and can handle stressful and high pressure situations Your application will include the following questions: What's your expected monthly basic salary?
