Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for:Designing sensory procedures, training, and calibrating sensory panels, as well as interpreting the results of sensory evaluation using statistical analyses.Consolidating and controlling external documents and records such as Working Drafts, Specification Sheets, RHSG, and other documents pertinent to QA processes.Designing training modules conforming to the quality management systems and conducting training.Coordinating with counterparts from the company's operating units for quality assurance programs.Recommending upgrades to facilities and equipment, streamlining operations to meet the required service levels for the section.Conducting process improvement projects and processes that may originate from client R&D and/or other units.Auditing suppliers, toll processors, bakeries, and depots, flagging areas of concern, recommending actions to take, and monitoring the implementation of actions taken.Job Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or equivalent fields.Must be a Registered Microbiologist.At least two (2) years of experience in food quality assurance and/or research and development, manufacturing, or related fields.Knowledgeable in food science and technology.Preferably has experience in implementing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) such as HACCP, ISO systems, FSSC, and SPC (Statistical -Process Control).Preferably with experience in bakery operations.Must be amenable to work on shifting schedules in Canlubang, Laguna.
