The Role
Works with the QA Architect to input into, understand and implement the QA Strategy and Design for a programme, project or workstream.

Defines a QA Delivery Plan for the programme, project or workstream which supports the QA Strategy and QA Design and meets agreed project timescales.

Supports the QA Architect and Functional QA Heads to ensure that ways of working and quality standards are met throughout the delivery of the QA Delivery Plan.

Gains buy in from key stakeholders (eg project/programme managers, Service Acceptance Manager etc) for their commitment to the QA Delivery Plan.

Estimates for and gains QA resource for QA delivery from the QA team, working with QA Function Heads.

Ensures that QA plans, scripts and data requirements are defined in accordance with the QA Strategy and Design and within the timelines of the QA Delivery Plan.

Organises resources (QA Engineers) to carry out the preparation of QA plans, scripts and data and regularly monitors progress such as via daily stand ups.

Ensures that the quality of QA plans, scripts and data is consistent and reaches WTW internal QA standards, as agreed with the QA Architect.

Communicates the status of the preparation of QA plans, scripts and data to stakeholders in a timely manner to agreed standards and templates.

Ensures that the output of all QA preparation meets Service Acceptance criteria and supports the Service Acceptance Manager to ensure they are consistently achieved throughout QA delivery.

Works with other project team members to ensure that delivery into QA is on time and that members of the QA delivery team are ready to QA.

Organises resources (QA Engineers) to execute QAs according to the QA Delivery Plan.

Ensures test execution meets internal WTW quality standards, as agreed with the QA Architect.

Communicates the status of QA execution to stakeholders in a timely manner and to agreed standards and templates.

Ensures that the output of all QA execution meets Service Acceptance criteria and supports the Service Acceptance Manager to ensure that they are consistently achieved throughout QA delivery.

Identifies, proposes potential mitigation for and owns QA Delivery RAIDS through the implementation of the QA Delivery Plan.

Supports other stakeholders in the mitigation of non QA Delivery RAIDS.

Supports the QA Architect in the identification and mitigation of QA Design RAIDs and the Service Acceptance Manager in the identification and mitigation of Service Delivery RAIDS.

Provides ad-hoc and regular reporting to QA Functional Heads and other stakeholders.

Prepares reports for Service Acceptance and/or Project/Programme Management for WTW Clients.

Attends Project/Programme meetings, including Client meetings, as required.

Supports the DevOps, Release Management, Development and Product Owner communities and works with these teams when their support is required to resolve blockers or support QA activity.

Escalates new issues appropriately using effective communications and is able to prioritise accurately.

Works with other QA Delivery Leads to ensure consistent planning and implementation across QA activities and identification/removal of overlap. Identifies gaps between QA activities and resolves.

All WTW QA team members need to be ‘T-Shaped’ resources, capable of supporting the programme/project requirements according to priority. QA Delivery Leads are expected to deputise for Scrum Masters/PO co-ordinators if programme/project priorities require it.

The Requirements
Extensive Financial services experience, preferably Pensions and used to working in a regulated industry.

Demonstrable experience of leading of multi located, multi supplier teams for a significant amount of time.

Experience of delivering testing to external clients.

Agile-like delivery models (ideally using the Scaled Agile Framework).

Demonstrable experience of working with different approaches to testing across the SDLC.

ISTQB Foundation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

JIRA, HP Quality Center

Flexible to work on EMEA, Australia and APAC Shift
