Purchasing Assistant

With a bachelor’s degree, major in business administration, food technology, or any related course
Must have at least 2 years of work experience in the same capacity or in a related field
Must be highly interested in the food industry
Must be knowledgeable in determining supply inventory and purchasing needs
Must be familiar in reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors
Must be proficient in computer applications like MS Office
Must be updated with industry trends
Must have good negotiation skills and be able to establish long term agreements with different food vendors and suppliers
Must have a good command of the English language, both oral and written; must communicate effectively.
Must be resourceful, have initiative, and possess strong interpersonal skills
Must be a team player but can work independently as well
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
Self-starter, goal and results-oriented, and hardworking
Must be pleasant with strong interpersonal skills cutting across all levels of an organization
Must thrive under pressure
