The Poultry Technical Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of company poultry health
management guidelines (vaccination, medication, biosecurity, cleaning and
sanitation, health and safety, pest control etc). It involves activities to diagnose, treat, or research diseases and injuries of birds.
This position will ensure adequate communication is maintained between
functions, contractors, customers and outside regulatory agencies. They advises individual poultry raisers on
poultry problems, gathers from owner information on care, condition,
performance plus birds behavior, inspects flocks, pens and housing and suggests
farm management actions to increase egg production or growth of birds.The
position will also ensure adherence to Cargill, Inc. Guiding Principles to
include policies and procedures for safety, food safety, animal welfare,
environmental, sanitation, work quality standards, management and production.

Coaching, development, training and
management support to the Poultry Techinical Team to achieve budgeted broiler breeder and broiler production
performance by having healthy and quality flocks.·
This is done through inspecting flocks, pens and
diagnose disease and prescribe treatment.

Manage and monitor overall broiler breeder and
boiler health status and ensure compliance with all
Environmental Health and
Safety requirements including animal welfare by
designing and execution
of vaccination, medication, biosecurity,
cleaning, sanitation, health and safety, pest control,
waste/dead birds
disposal etc management.

Oversee employee and contract farms farm
health issues and concerns by gathering information on care, condition,
performance and action of birds.

Keeping up-to-date technically and applying
new knowledge to your job.

Required Qualifications
·
Should be a graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
·
3 – 5 years
past experience in broiler breeder or broiler production.
·

DVM
graduate
·

least 3 years experience in breeder or broiler health production.

knowledge of Food Safety, Occupational Safety and Health Standards of DOLE and
Environmental regulations

Knowledgeable
of HR practices, Guiding Principles, etc.
·
Ability
