Purpose and Objectives of the Role The Head of Finance will need to work very closely with the Country Head Philippines and act as balance to his business and commercial focus; will need to be a solid business partner, providing analysis and to control the risk exposure of the business. To also develop and maintain internal controls ensuring compliance, accuracy and predictability of results, the analysis of variations and the determination of countermeasures and actions to mitigate exposure for the whole EPODI. This position is dotted line reporting to the regional CFO.Scope of Business / Function – Key Areas of Expertise / Responsibilities
Leadership
Manage, lead and develop the finance & accounting team across the Philippines entities, providing strong leadership and strategic direction.
Accounting function
Work with IT on ERP implementation as well as introduce accounting software for new businesses when required.
Communicate and ensure compliance with company financial and accounting policies in all entities.
Ensure all entities processes are compliant with IFRS accounting and ensuring delivery of financial results to a precise monthly timeline.
Ensure all entities in Philippines are in total compliance with local and IFRS rules and regulations
Timely and accurate financial reports and statements
Financial planning
Ensure effective commercial / business planning, budgeting and forecasting and management reporting in all Philippines entities.
Monitoring financial performance, analyzing and interpreting operating results, investigating variances and evaluating their effect on the business. Pro-actively communicating results with recommendations for action.
Continuous review of processes and operations and making recommendations on methods to increase profitability using dynamic resource allocations.
Conducting financial analysis and preparing detailed financial reports and statements, lead monthly financial reviews with local and ASEAN HQ management teams.
Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendation for resolution of problems. Design and improve financial systems and models.
Responsible for short and long term financial planning, budgeting.
Cashflow planning
To ensure that the established cash controls and procedures are being complied with at all times
Review and aid Essilor & JV entities in their Cash planning and internal controls
Costing
Provide support to Essilor & JV on finance related matters including costing and contracts
Legal
Assist in Transfer Pricing requirements and administration of taxes (including tax preparation, filling and compliance with local tax legislation).
Ensure all entities are in compliance on statutory/ regulatory requirements/ guidelines including, audits, taxation and internal control.
Interface with internal, external and statutory auditors together with Philippines entities Finance Managers.
Liaising with other external parties such as company secretary, banks, lawyers, government.Transversal Responsibilities

Divisional or BU Experience
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to understand key financial drivers of the business.
Good knowledge of Philippines Financial Reporting Standards and tax legislation in Philippines
Excellent interpersonal skills, executive presence, with the ability to communicate at all levels (JV partners) and cross culturally.
Proficient in Ms Office applications/Think CellExperience / Track Record
At least 12 years relevant working experience in FMCG, Retail in MNC environmentIndustries Experience
Strong commercial business experience with the ability to be a partner to the business.
Experience in manufacturing/retail industry will be an advantageGeographical Experience
Philippines. Travel within Philippines may be requiredManagement Experience
At least 7 years of experience leading a direct/dotted reporting team; with experience in handling Php 800million size businessQualifications
Education / Qualification / Certification
Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance / MBA or equivalent
At least 12 years of relevant working experience
