THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone with finance experience and a strong interest in the role of Product Manager within the digital finance space for our Payments platform. This role is all about innovation and ensuring that this company provides their customers with the leading payment products.
As the Payments Product Manager, you will define, lead and drive the payments strategy, working with various departments including Operations, Finance, Risk, Compliance and other product managers.
You will lead meetings with stakeholders and be responsible for articulating to them the roadmap and outcomes.
You will be joining the customer experience team and be surrounded by like-minded individuals who want to ensure a seamless engagement of new and existing customers.
Our ideal Product Manager has led technical products or large-scale platforms, has an extreme attention to detail, concisely communicates complex concepts, and is equally excited about 99.99% reliability and financial correctness as well as beautiful product UX and API design.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Product Manager will join a cross functional product development team and take on the following responsibilities:
Work closely with a team of skilled designers and engineers and set the high-level mission, vision and roadmap for the team
Define the metrics and KPI´s used to measure the health of the product – and how these improve over time
Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to make sure that you collaboratively meet the company's short- and long-term goals and that your plan is in line with commercial objectives
Make sure that your team is strong and healthy – including capabilities, happiness, resilience and growth
Make sure that your team is constantly doing the right things, and has a healthy balance of innovation, reducing technical debt and providing maintenance and support
Capture, analyse, and prioritise ideas and requests from a wide range of internal and external sources
Partner with data analysts, SEO, tracking and UX specialists, designers, developers and a broad range of operational teams to scope out the product features and turn them into clear concepts, product specifications and commercial opportunities
Conduct and use market research to help ensure that the product roadmap is optimal in terms of our target markets, customers, and competitors
Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
Prioritise and manage the product backlog and ensure that product needs are effectively driven through the delivery phases from early idea to final launch
Act as Product Manager and driving force in the product development team. This includes daily responsibilities like:
Managing the backlog
Writing user stories
Attending Scrum meetings
Working closely with the development team
Performing release planning
Driving conceptualisation work
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
The ideal candidate should have:
Minimum of three years of experience as a Technical Product Manager
Experience with finance or payments platforms
Experience with agile methodology and data-informed product development
Excellent organisational and analytical skills with strong technical understanding
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to tell stories, speak fluently to business people, partners and engineers
Experience within the finance industry is a plus, but not a requirement
A high degree of competency with project management, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communication of overall project status
Strong technical understanding with an eye for and interest in new technology trends
Experience with Jira/Confluence
Must speak / write English
