Applicants must be eligible to work in the Philippines.Job DescriptionOceanaGold are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Occupational Health and Safety Superintendent to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Safety Management System and all Health and Safety Programs of OGPI including coordination and continual improvement of OGPI's Emergency Preparedness and Response Programs. Reporting to the Manager-Occupational Health and Safety Manager to ensure continually improve safety culture and performances across OGPI and its contractors by building, monitoring, and supporting the Safety Management system, and health programs in order to protect the workforce from injury and harm.Key tasks and responsibilities:Lead the Safety team in OHS compliance (regulatory and internal programs) through ongoing audits and inspections focusing on continual improvementPromote health, safety, and environmental awareness in order to prevent injuries and/or damagesEnsure all OHSC members under Safety Section duly participate in performance management and conduct safety meetingsLead and coach the team of safety professionals to deliver an effective and interactive service to the operation and provide leadership in maintaining/implementing ISO certificationConduct internal audits on previous incident investigations to assess the effectiveness of corrective actions and facilitate the review of incident investigations using ICAM methodologyQualificationsBehaviour consistent with OceanaGold Corp.
