As part of the core IT Operation team, you’ll be testing and deciding on technologies to use, proof of concepts, along with production roll-outs and implementations. You’ll design and build solutions to solve technical problems -- small and large -- from refactoring inter-bank connections, fault finding/fixing issues, through to application trouble shooting. Since Midtrans is a payment gateway, your primary objective is to deliver the most reliable network infrastructure for our customers.
Some projects might include: developing and implementing the network design, policies and procedures required to operate critical network infrastructure at scale, continuous service improvement and mentoring network engineers. One thing we promise: you’ll never be bored.

Responsibilities: Maintain day-to-day operations and documentation of Production infrastructure, including securing local and wide area networks. Participate in rotating on-call incident response on the weekdays and on the weekends. Develop and improve instrumentation for monitoring the health and availability of services. Contribute to the continuous improvement of tooling, automation and operational procedures. Participate cross functionally with vendors and other IT engineering teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Network troubleshooting, fault analysis, repair, and upgrade. Creation and execution of scheduled changes, process & documentation. Help to define configuration and architecture standards. Minimum Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in technical consulting or direct customer interfacing/engagement role. Deep technical knowledge in the following technology/architecture areas Networking (Routing, Switching, and Wireless). Proficiency with enterprise networks using Cisco IOS/NXOS with a working knowledge of IP Protocols (TCP/UDP/ICMP) and Routing Protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP). Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP stack, application protocols (DHCP/DNS/HTTPs) and networking concepts (HSRP/NAT/VPN/VLANs/802.1x/Wireless/Clustering/High Availability/Load Balancing). Understanding of network automation and application development. Understanding of routing and switching - hardware design and knowledge of forwarding and data planes. CCNP/CCDP or equivalent strongly preferred. Big plus if you have familiarity with any of the following: Multiple networking vendors. Demonstrable Linux administration skills and network security. Experience deploying software-based networking (SDN) products. Scripting and/or programming experience to automate configuration, management and routine tasks (Python or Ruby). Used to data driven decision making, through collection, collation and processing of large volumes of information.
