Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Serve as an internal consultant within the Procurement / Supply Chain Management function. Interact frequently with company streams, business units, and categories. Responsible for providing the following to various customers:
Internal and external research studies including market analysis, cost modeling, forecasting, and actionable intelligence.
Data and process analysis on key supply markets including industry analysis and supplier analysis related to global economic activity, labor conditions, raw material costs, and upstream and downstream market trends.
Development and maintenance of forecasts, models, and tools to support purchases, contracts, and sourcing decisions.
Provide reliable, high-quality analytical support to enable Procurement/Supply Chain Management's ability to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage for Chevron:
Utilize business analytics to deliver results in line with the strategy of the supported team.
Drive continuous improvement of processes including partnering with Digital team on automation opportunities.
Apply critical thinking to identify value-driven opportunities for change.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and visualize data using advanced Excel functions (including Pivot Tables, macros), PowerPoint, Power BI, Spotfire, and other Data Modeling tools.
Demonstrated expertise in analyzing situations/data with multiple outcomes, deriving insights and value drivers to inform good business decisions, and making recommendations to key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives through verbal and written formats via technical reports and presentations, to wide audiences both internally and externally.
General business experiences with proven ability to understand economic cases/trends and link insights to Supply Chain Management business strategies and plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
Market Intelligence experience in energy or other industry.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline, multi-cultural environments.
Ability to act as a team player and demonstrate leadership behaviors with minimal supervision.
Volunteers time and knowledge to assist others and values each person’s skills, experiences, and perspectives.
