Duties and Responsibilities:
Consultancy is key for us, so you’ll work closely with our clients to agree the best technology strategy
Your communication skills must be awesome, because you’ll have to facilitate the communication between the client and your team, to clarify business requirements and to translate them into functional specifications
Keep your eyes open for new business models or workflows and make recommendations
Mentor more junior staff members and be a role model for best practices in the technical development process
Lead the estimation effort for projects; work to identify and manage risk and control scope
Be part of the second line support organization for infrastructure issues
Design and maintain production monitoring systems
Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues, application deployment, release management and patching.?
Manage major technical aspects of a project and contribute directly by writing robust, well-organized code with performance, maintainability and portability in mind.
Understand various clients’ needs and goals and recommend, architect, and design solutions.
Own major subsystems of large commerce implementations (storefront, middleware, or back-office) under the leadership of an account Technical Architect and understand typical client needs (consumer-facing and back office).
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and experience in implementing integrations with back-end systems in the Magento landscape
Solid experience with popular Open Source platforms, frameworks and components such as Magento, Drupal, Django, and Spring
Prior experience in analyzing client business needs, recommending innovative solutions that leverage technology to provide market differentiation and better user experiences.
Experience with?Magento 2
Excellent knowledge of PHP, OOP, Web Services, XML/XSLT, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/AJAX, MySQL, Linux, Apache
Excellent knowledge of MVC architecture
Understanding of OO design principles to support large-scale custom enterprise applications
Experience with source code management strategies (e.g. forking, branching), and release management
Advanced knowledge of system administration and software and server configuration; ability to make informed recommendations to customer IT staff;
Ability to troubleshoot pre- and post-production implementations; security; load balancing and performance
Advanced knowledge with databases and data modeling/design techniques; data interface protocols; database software installation; database tuning
E-commerce or similar web experience
Aid clients in their decision-making process
Ability to see impact of individual work streams on each other and across the overall project.
Understanding of Fixed Price / Fixed Fee project planning and delivery and understands how to manage scope in that context
Work experience in a multi-disciplinary environment that includes UX, QA, Project Management, and Account Management
Experience in leading teams and mentoring more junior colleagues
Proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills and has a keen interest in emerging technologies
Good English verbal and written communications skills; good presentation and facilitation skills
