Brandeis University invites applications for a Lecturer in the Department of Economics to teach one section of the following course during the fall semester of 2020.
ECON 26B: Writing in Economics Practicum
A writing-intensive 2-credit course on the tools and practice of writing in economics. Introduces students to how economists communicate research and policy analyses to the public through writing exercises on macroeconomic policy and economic indicators.
Prerequisite: ECON 82b Macroeconomic Theory
Candidates should be prepared to hold office hours.
Applicants having a Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline, and previous university-level teaching experience, should submit a single PDF file containing a curriculum vitae, a teaching statement detailing previous experience and teaching methodology, and evidence of teaching effectiveness (i.e., course evaluations).
We will begin reviewing applications immediately, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
