Our Story: Built for the humans of data, by the humans of data
At Atlan, we started as a data team ourselves tackling problems like national level healthcare and poverty alleviation with data science (TED talk;Case Studies )
The problem:That's how we learn't how tough it was to scale data teams. Data teams are the most interdisciplinary teams ever created: Analysts, Scientists, Engineers, Business; Diverse people with their own tooling preferences and skillsets and "DNA" that need to come together and collaborate effectively. Leading tocollaboration chaos.
We would be awoken with crisis calls every second day for the minutest of issues - from troubleshooting why number on a dashboard is incorrect to getting access to the right dataset! Atlan started as us building small tools to make our own data team more agile.
Over a couple of years, we made our team 6X more agileand went on to do amazing things like build India's National Data Platform used by its Prime Minister. (data for 500M citizens, built by an 8 member team, fastest project of its kind to go live — in 12 months instead of projected 3 years)

At Atlan, we have a clearly defined ICP: Customers who've implemented Snowflake, Redshift, Looker ++ i.e. the Modern Data Stack
Just as ABM & Events played an important role in Snowflakes supersonic growth from 2016-18, we're looking for someone to spearhead our events & ABM function at Atlan (Podcast Link: https://www.saastr.com/building-your-marketing-to-100m-with-snowflake-cmo-denise-persson/ )
You will spearhead a fully new channel, that has a HIGH success rate in our industry on our quest to become a category defining company!
Your Mission at Atlan ??
Turn events & ABM into a driving force to help Atlan become a home for data teams around the world
You will own and develop our event strategy: from large splashes like conferences & webinars to closed door settings like roundtables, and wine & dines. This includes both events that Atlan attends & sponsors + organises
You will own end to end execution of events at Atlan
You will own the broader ABM strategy including nurture flows, ads and more
What makes you a match for us? ??
A demonstrated track record of organising digital events and owning end to end execution of the same
Detail orientation in organising and curating events that people LOVE. The extra attention to detail is what changes the game!
Creativity to cut through the noise. Host the next event as a Twitter Spaces chat, anyone?
Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment with integrity and accountability
A solid understanding of marketing channels for distribution & community marketing is a big plus
