Job Description:
The position caters to Odfjell Corporate IT Department and Odfjell Ship Management Technology Group for tasks and reports to Manager Shared Services Center Manila. The position must follow the corporate IT rules & guidelines as prescribed by Odfjell Corporate IT.


Areas of responsibility Member of IT Support group based in Manila, that provides first line IT support by e-mail, remote and phone support to Odfjell Managed vessels on a 24/7 basis. Supports the Business with Office365 and Sharepoint expertise Follows and Implements IT System changes and maintenance according to defined standards Maintains and Operates IT Systems onboard and at small offices without dedicated IT personnel in cooperation with Corporate IT Monitors IT Systems for security threats and weaknesses. Facilitates for Cyber Security Awareness amongst all employees. Work Tasks / Support Attends to vessel and office IT problems via helpdesk ticket system; Coordinates with external vendor support for resolution of cases, as applicable; Installs and upgrades systems in vessels and in the office; Coordinates with Corporate IT for systems deployment and maintenance; Complies to best practices for IT security; Monitors and troubleshoots email, network and satellite connectivity issues Provides troubleshooting guidelines to crew and office personnel, as applicable; Manages and administers local office and vessel servers, network and printers in cooperation with Cooperate IT; Informs the ship coordinator, superintendent and Corporate IT 2nd line for repair and spare parts replacement needed and any repair conducted, as applicable; Provides troubleshooting guidelines, monitors and reports VSAT connectivity issues and coordinates with external vendors as applicable; Upon request travel to offices and support, maintain or upgrade the IT systems there: Upon request travel, onboard and support, maintain or upgrade maritime communication and IT systems onboard
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field; At least five (5) years’ experience in vessel or office support environment; Well experienced in server /network management and administration; Detailed knowledge to vmWare, Cisco, CheckPoint, Microsoft Server, Active Directory and SLQ Server; Well experienced in Cloud applications Office 365, Power BI and SharePoint Online; Familiar with SatCom technologies such as Inmarsat Fleet Broad Band and VSAT; Familiar with server hardware and termination of LAN connections Cat5e/6/7 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent communication skills; Ability to manage and implement IT infrastructure upgrade projects onboard; Ability to travel on short notice worldwide; Should be willing to work on a Shifting/Graveyard schedule;
