Job Title: IT SpecialistThis position is projected to be needed by April 2024.Location: Pilar, SorsogonJob Description:The IT Specialist at our Rural Bank of Pilar (Sor.) Inc. will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and security of all information technology systems and infrastructure. This role will involve providing technical support to staff, managing network and server systems, implementing cybersecurity measures, and overseeing software and hardware maintenance. Additionally, the IT Specialist will collaborate with management to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the bank's goals and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues, resolving technical problems efficiently to minimize downtime.Manage and maintain the bank's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure reliable and secure connectivity.Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect the bank's data and systems from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.Monitor system performance and security, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary patches and updates.Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Train staff on IT systems and security protocols, promoting awareness and adherence to IT policies and procedures.Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the banking industry, recommending innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.Preferably with 3 years of experience in IT support and administration, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and IT best practices.Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization technologies, and cloud services.Experience with IT procurement and vendor management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Certifications such as Computer Systems Servicing, Programming, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
