The Role
As a Data Architect, you will support the definition and development of the current and target Enterprise Data Architecture that will meet business needs. You will maintain organization information such as Enterprise Data Architecture Repository and Enterprise Information / Data Standards, and lead the enforcement of these architecture and standards to guide programs or projects to the target Enterprise Data Architecture. This role will enable you to lead data architecture development work directly for projects by producing deliverables, or indirectly by collaborating on a deliverable of a project member performing an architecture role.
How you will contribute
Design solutions architecture across specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, and requirements.
Provide consulting support to application / technical architects within projects, Solution Architect, or Integration Architect to ensure the project is aligned with the overall Enterprise Architecture.
Conduct the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, and the design of standard and custom software configurations.
Understands technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operations models.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Statistics
5 years and up of relevant experience
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certified
Knowledge on Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Modeling, Data Store Definition, Data Content Management, Data Asset Discovery and Access, and Data Analysis
Designing and developing skills for any of the following data warehouse software: Teradata, Amazon Redshift, IBM DB2, Oracle DW, SQL DW, SAP BW/4HANA, etc.
Experience in technologies such as ERwin, MS SQL Analytics/Reporting/Integration, Talend, SaS, Business Objects, Informatica, Tableau, Big Data / Hadoop, NoSQL, Kafka / Data Streaming, etc
Strong project management skills; strong analytical skills
Able to anticipate the impacts and risks of decisions and actions. Able to recognize potential IT security threats and risk, including common attacks, vulnerabilities and methods used to compromise systems
