Helper Mechanic

**JOB SUMMARY**Responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in the plant. Also responsible for assisting the Sr. Mechanic in performing troubleshooting, repair and maintenance activities.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**- Conducts routine check-up, cleaning and lubrications of plant mechanical equipment.- Performs minor overhauling.- Participates in implementing preventive maintenance activities.- Assists Sr. Mechanic in conducting troubleshooting, repair and maintenance as necessary.- Conducts troubleshooting work that cannot be attended to by Sr. Mechanic.- Acts as reliever to Sr. Mechanic in their absence.- Helps in the installation or modification of mechanical component or equipment to maintain or improve production quality and productivity.- Provides and submits necessary reports related to equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance activities.- Gives suggestions / recommendations to improve engineering services, process, repairs, maintenance, procedures, and other related practices.- Gathers data such as material specification or other information as required by immediate superior.- Conducts inventory of spare parts and see to it that needed materials for urgent repair and PM activities are readily available. Initiates request of materials as needed.- Performs materials/parts inspection for newly delivered items and ensures right specifications as needed.- Ensures good maintenance and safekeeping of issued tools.- Supports the Plant's Quality Management System by conforming to establish documented procedures and standards in the area of responsibility.- Supports company programs by participating in quality and productivity programs, employee relation's activities and attendance to meetings, trainings and seminars.- Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment by- Keeping work area clean and orderly at all times- Participating on different plant committees such as safety, Fire Brigade, etc.- Supporting the company's waste segregation program- Complying with company's health and safety policies including use of proper uniforms and PPE.- Informing immediate superior of any health, safety environmental concern observed within the plant.**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent**Salary**: Php13,000.00 - Php14,000.00 per monthSchedule:- 8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:- 13th month salary- Overtime payAbility to commute/relocate:- Mandaluyong City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)**Education**:- Bachelor's (preferred)**Experience**:- machine: 1 year (preferred)- Mechanical engineering: 1 year (preferred)- Mechanical design: 1 year (preferred)- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)License/Certification:- Lathe Machine (preferred)
