Position Overview We are looking for a Geospatial Support Engineer who is interested in growing their skills in the drone photogrammetry and data processing space.
In addition to supporting customers with their geospatial needs, you'll also help us scale our data processing pipeline into the most widely used construction optimization tool in the world.
Responsibilities Assist in the delivery of geospatial data products (orthophotos, point clouds, contour maps, DSM, etc) to customers. Educate and advise customers on coordinate systems, geoids, and localizations as applies to their data Process data using company’s photogrammetry technology and tools Ensure delivered data products meet customer requirements Read code; at home in the command line and in using AWS. Help keep the data processing pipeline running like a well-oiled machine 24/7. Devise ways to scale our data processing pipeline with software, not people. Identify the right metrics and notifications to create full visibility into pipeline performance and operation. Help test new features on our automated data processing pipeline Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams. Support customers on all Skycatch products Minimum Qualifications:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English Experience in photogrammetry / remote sensing Experience with construction, civil engineering, or surveying experience (such as a certified photogrammetrist or licensed surveyor) Experience in troubleshooting data processing issues caused in an automated data processing pipeline Experience writing scripts in Javascript and Python Experience with databases, preferably MySQL Experience using other photogrammetry and GIS tools, such as Pix4D, Agisoft, Global Mapper, QGIS, ArcGIS, etc. More about Skycatch Skycatch creates industrial strength products, services, and solutions that powers some of the most complex projects on the planet.
