We are looking for a Finance Manager who will help our clients improve their financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate submissions of financials for statutory consolidation; and efficient generation of audited consolidated financial statements.
Responsibilities:
GL Mapping:
a. Review and sign-off mapping of entity level chart of accounts.
b. Review and sign-off mapping of chart of accounts.
Consolidation and Reporting:
a. Evaluate new functionalities of consolidation and reporting in coordination with Oracle and institute changes to maximize use of system as -consolidation tool
b. Review elimination entries for investments and equity and consolidation adjustments as well as to aid in population of 17Q and audited FS
c. Establish rules for intercompany accounts to facilitate elimination entries
d. Implement automated generation of MR (including supplemental schedules)
e. Review and update the client's user manual
Review and implement improvements to the financial closing process both at entity and consolidation levels
Review and update policies and procedures for financial closing, in particular and among others, change management for acquisitions and disposals
Internal and external audit
a. Institute controls to ensure that none or minimal adjustments shall be made to the quarterly trial balance submitted to auditors for sign-off including account classifications
Templates:
a. Preparation of Financial statements with notes (word and excel) for stand-alone and consolidated FS (annual and quarterly)
b. 17Q and 17A with notes (word and excel) for the 3 client companies
c. Preparation of Manual consolidation template
Handholding in the generation of (1) audited or reviewed consolidated financial statements and other reporting requirements of the clients.
Qualifications
With a total of 10-15 years of working experience in Accounting, Finance and Audit.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent.
CPA Licensure is a plus
Must be SAP/Oracle proficient
Big 4 accounting firm background
Strong know how on the following:
a. Consolidation principles
b. Basic concepts
c. Mergers and acquisition
d. Disposals
e. All applicable accounting standards
f. Management handholding on the process of reviewing consolidated financial statements
g. Other activities that will be deemed essential in meeting the overall objective.
