Job Description: Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other federal agencies, all over the world.
The Electrical Engineer will be supporting Planate Management Group's Global Technical Support Center (GTSC) in providing design plans on activities that consist of all aspects of electrical engineering work.
Perform design work for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects for real property facilities Interpret and adapt in traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers Develop cost estimates and time schedules, review and analyze preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy Prepare necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepare final construction drawings suitable for obtaining qualified bids from Contractors Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies a load analysis) to perform engineering tasks as assigned Support the different divisions with scope, programming, and scheduling definition Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects, and serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers in the division Can adapt to current and latest technical innovations in electrical engineering Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications: Graduate and Licensed Electrical Engineer Minimum 5 years of design and field experience Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design, under different conditions of construction procedures Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills Preference will be given to those who can start immediately Must be willing to travel to different project sites We'd love for you to be a part of our Global workforce, helping us serve as an effective and integrated partner to advance every client's mission!
