Job Descriptions
Performs administrative duties in project management, planning, coordinating, reporting, monitoring, policy interpretation, cost control, and ongoing deployment and supervision of equipment and personnel – as support to the Eng’g. Division & to the Division Head.
Performs technical work related to the completion of a variety of engineering activities & projects
Prepares and submits technical reports, monitoring tools, technical documents, documentary requests, memoranda, and related docs that are scheduled for submission regularly or as needed.
Prepares designs, detail drawings, specifications and project estimates. Collects, analyses data and performs computer modeling as required.
Assist staff, plumbers, equipment, tools. Assist personnel in the construction, maintenance, production. Monitors maintenance schedules and reminds concerned personnel on forthcoming maintenance schedules
Monitors materials availability, checks rotational materials and buffer inventories.
Assists Division Head and Dept. Heads in the selection and management of consultants and contractors who are providing engineering services to the Department. Reviews designs, and contracts prepared by consultants. Inspect and checks works being done by contractors. Issues notice of non-conformance to on-going construction works.
Assumes as the Petty Cash Custodian, monitors petty cash funds, prepare Petty Cash Replenishments. Prepares check requests for PCR’s
Performs field inspections as often as needed. Prepares and submits travel reports. Assist Division Head in Technical Inspections, submits critical inputs and insights in the technical reports.
Responds to inquiries from staff, contractors, consultants, other departments, other divisions, the customers, the developers, and other interested parties
Assists in the preparation, development, review and implementation of departmental policies, practices and procedures, capital work and maintenance programs.
Assists the Division Head in meetings, liaises with interested parties and outside agencies. Assists Division Head in the updating of minutes of meetings, prepares reports needed for the meetings
Monitors water meter installation schedules
Coordinates regularly with the Warehouse Department
Triggers the Division Heads for critical issues & matters needing very immediate attention/solution
Updates daily pump monitoring sheets from reports submitted by the Water Resource Facility Specialists.
Updates Meralco monitoring, prepares Check Requests for Meralco Payments
Job Qualifications
Must be able to professionally and confidently support the Engineering Division in coordinating the needs and requirements of the division in the office or on the field.
Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions, and must convey instructions effectively to staff
Must know how to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Must be able to understand eng’g deliverables & monitor completion of approved corrective actions
Excellent knowledge of design and visual software such as AutoCAD. Ability to collect, analyze data, and must be keen to details
Advanced MS Office skills
Familiar with the basic and prevailing policies, rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards in construction, sanitary, mechanical, civil & electrical works
Must have unquestionable degree of integrity, honesty, humility, and work etiquette
Ability to work independently but must make sound recommendations to the Division head. Ability to solve technical and administrative problems
Project management, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to develop concepts, make recommendations and prepare reports
Ability to coordinate and supervise complex and simultaneous engineering projects including control and monitoring of consultants and contractors’ works and performance, liaison with interested parties, outside agencies, and project financial control
Ability to plan, coordinate, supervise or monitor the work of subordinates
Ability to understand and interpret engineering plans and specifications. Ability to develop specifications and standard drawings under minimal supervision
Licensed Professional Civil Engineer
Proven specialized skill and knowledge in relevant area of engineering. Working knowledge of applicable safety regulations
Must have estimating knowledge, cost conscious, & must submit accurate estimates on time.
Must be flexible, service oriented, patient, and must have a positive outlook
Physical strength, stamina, and coordination to carry out the duties of the position.
