Cashier Under the direct supervision of the Counter Supervisor; responsible for maintaining an accurate and authentic record of all transactions involving customers payments, whether cash or charge, in consonance with set cashiering systems and procedures.
- Maintains an efficient and effective customer service at all times by executing through knowledge of the cashiering process and adept use of the cash register.
- Responsible for attaining maximum and efficient service at the cashiering counter.
- Ensures the availability of loose change cashiering forms / documents and supplies such as Pos. - Charge invoices, sales drafts, GCRS, journals, receipts rolls, etc.
- Process payments for customer’s purchases whether in cash or charge and enters all codes of customer purchases in the POS machine.
- Provides safety and security control measures relative to cashiering functions
- Verifies credit cards
- Checks authenticity of the bills
- Validates all necessary documents after receipt of payments from customers.
- Secures approval from card companies for over the limit charge purchase.
- Ensures that journal tapes bear the signature of the Counter Supervisor before signing on the terminal.
- Secures the signature of the Store Manager / Store Supervisor on all cancelled transactions.
- Accountable for the cash in drawers and documents such as deleted tape receipts, etc.
- Prepares cash tally sheets at the end of the shift after conducting cash count and turns them over to the Branch Treasury Department together with cash payments.
- Responsible for the proper care and use of the POS machine.
- Maintains good housekeeping through proper storage, cleanliness and orderliness of the work area to ensure a systematic flow of work and prevent accidents.
- Supports Management goals, requirements and decisions.
- Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

- Can communicate well in both Tagalog and English.
