Job Description Summary:
Responsible for organizing, sourcing, negotiating and procuring assigned commodity at the lowest possible cost consistent with the company required quality, delivery time and service. Source possible substitute of materials/items by establishing new materials sources to ensure continuous supply.
Job Description:
• Review and maintain updated record of approved and qualified suppliers for the assigned commodity.
• Ensure data integrity (supplier data, materials data including price and currency) is always kept and maintained.
• Influence/suggest/co-develop requirements during RFQ/conceptualization stage up to PR-PO process
• Check and review completeness of Purchase Requisition (PR) received from various departments to ensure smooth flow of sourcing and procuring the correct materials needed.
• Perform negotiation for purchases below $10K, for $10k above with the concurrence of manager
• Generate and issue Purchase Order (PO) to suppliers and perform post PO activities. Buyer to ensure supplier’s PO acknowledgement and delivery commit is secured, updated in system and communicated to the requestors.
• Monitor and coordinate delivery and liaise between supplier and end requestors/user. Update SAP of the delivery date as needed to make sure data accuracy in SAP for the expected delivery date and open order quantity/balances
• Manage, drive and monitor improvement of supplier performance through effective supplier management. Work with key stakeholders/end-user to identify indicators to track.
• Do data gathering, conceptualize desired output and perform data analytics for strategic negotiation
• Assist on the re solution of payment issues escalated by suppliers/requestors.
• Create presentation materials (powerpoint/excel/graphs) to convey the message/understanding to the audience.
• Prepare reports as required. Ensures application of Quality Policy of the Company in his/her area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as maybe assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
BS Engineering, or Science-related courses
Fresh graduates or 1-2 yrs work experience
Semicon background is an advantage
