Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, tenure track Associate Professor of Professor of Nursing faculty position in the WellStar School of Nursing that begins July 2020.
The WellStar School of Nursing seeks applicants for two positions at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor of Nursing with expertise in adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, women’s health, gerontology, oncology, critical care, or palliative care nursing. The position is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment that reports to the Director of the WellStar School of Nursing, which offers undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Teaching responsibilities may be in undergraduate and graduate didactic and clinical courses. Other responsibilities include participation in ongoing curricular assessment, scholarly activities, and service in departmental, college, and university committees. Ideal candidates will possess: 1) an active RN license in Georgia or be eligible for a Georgia nursing license; 2) previous teaching experience; 3) evidence of a program of research and scholarship/creative activities in a focused area; 4) the ability to seek and obtain external research funding; and 5) a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Research-focused doctoral degree in nursing or a related field, or the foreign equivalent is required. Candidates must possess a master’s degree in nursing or its foreign equivalent and have a clinical background in one of the following areas: adult health, community health, psychiatric/mental health, women’s health, gerontology, oncology, critical care, or palliative care nursing.
