ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As the HR Associate for the North America Private Equity (NAPE) team, you will be a key member of a small team that supports a wide range of critical talent initiatives, including annual recruiting processes, performance management, professional development, mentorship programs, and training. We partner closely with the 150+ professionals that we support in an inclusive and collaborative environment.

Working at Bain Capital offers the opportunity for accelerated career growth with world class benefits. The role is based at our headquarters in central Boston with the option to work remotely on some days.

Assist with the on-boarding process for new hires including “extended welcome” programming to build connectivity to the firm in the months between offer acceptance and start date

Talent Management & Professional Development
Administer the semi-annual performance review process. This will include preparing our Workday systems, gathering performance feedback, preparing materials for reviewers, organizing talent calibration conversations with senior leadership, and supporting the development and delivery of written reviews. You will work closely with IT and senior management on ongoing initiatives to continuously improve our review processes.
Assist in the generation of performance messaging and themes; summarize and develop action plans based on development themes.
Manage the North America learning & development calendar for our investment staff. Organize onboarding as well as ongoing workshops, identify facilitators, manage training day logistics, and, in some cases, develop novel curriculum. You will solicit and synthesize feedback for continuous improvement.
Facilitate enrichment and development programming for high potential investment staff, such as our Platform Extension Opportunity (a 3-mo externship experience).

Culture & Mentorship
Assist in coordination of ongoing initiatives to enhance NAPE’s strong culture of collaboration, mentorship, and inclusion.
Assist in the launch of annual employment engagement surveys and various pulse surveys throughout the year; participate in action planning against survey results/insights.
Participate in regular cadence of “check ins” with Analysts & Associates to keep pulse on the organization and employee experience; raise any concerns and make “start/stop/continue” recommendations to HR team based on conversations (e.g. as it relates to staffing, mentorship, training, etc.).
Coordinate mentorship and sponsorship programs to support the ongoing development of the firm’s investment professionals.
Assist with various event planning activities throughout the year, including the NAPE offsite, holiday party, welcome events for new hires, teambuilding activities, etc.
