Accountant

Job Description
Performs general accounting activities that are complex and broad in nature, specializing in general ledger and financial report functions. His responsibilities also include, but not limited to, monthly analysis, reconciliation of general ledger accounts for all entities, recording journal entries and other tasks on a monthly basis for multiple entities. He assists the accounting officer and accounting manager with financial statement reporting, cost report preparation, financial analysis, budget preparation, financial statement audit preparation and special projects as assigned.
Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing schedule.
Facilitates and completes monthly closing procedures.
Analyzes revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
Assists with analyzing financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis and report on variances.
Provides support before and during annual and interim audit.
Assists and documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
Assists with developing budgets.
Other projects as assigned.

General Accounting: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
CPA (Preferred)
