Wood is recruiting for a Work Pack Structural Engineer to join our team in Manila.
This role will be part of a multi - discipline work pack team and will co - ordinate the development of multidiscipline work packs in accordance with approved budget, schedule requirements, quality, safety, health and environmental requirements. The engineer will develop and produce quality construction solutions pertaining to various aspects of the defined scope of work to comply with relevant codes, specifications and procedures. This is an end to end rejuvenation scope and as such, will involve interfacing with other disciplines like, planning, construction, procurement, HVEC and client operations.
You will be expected to work in a multidiscipline team environment where the overall success of the project is paramount. Wood is looking at a right first - time approach and as such, we are looking for candidates who can rise to a challenge and are interested in being part of an innovative and driven team.
Prepare construction 'work packs' for onshore procurement, fabrication and offshore construction activities in line with rejuvenation campaign schedule requirements
Prepare job cards, construction drawings and documentation, materials requisition and liaise with engineering, operations and support services as required
Review Design Engineers output for completeness and clarity of intent and liaise with discipline engineers / TAs for the development of work orders / packs, major / minor plant changes and major repairs
Maintain an overview of current work pack status in the associated WMS systems and provide progress updates to the integrated planning engineer
Be aware of all project technical standards, procedures and specifications and ensure work packs are compliant
Produce construction and lifting designs, supporting sketches, and establish all multi - discipline data required to complete the work
Adapt a fit - for - purpose approach and adapt design (with approval) to ensure design intent is achieved
Ensure Health & Safety responsibilities are adhered to and understood, and prepare task risk assessments and ISSOW PTWs for all scopes
Liaise with operations focal points to ensure execution methodology is understood and aligned with operating codes
Liaise with the RO team leader / project engineer to agree schedule for issue of work pack deliverables

Skills / Qualifications

Discipline degree or equivalent engineer level qualification would be preferred but experience and training levels will be considered in conjunction with academic qualifications
Experienced Work Pack Structural Engineer who is conversant with oil & gas construction and work pack processes
Minimum of 10 years oil and gas industry experience in brownfield, rejuvenation and / or hook - up & commissioning projects
Experience in both design and construction implementation, previous experience of working with a fabricator / constructor is highly desirable
Good understanding of construction methods, combined with an ability to fit design to deliverable and must understand inter - discipline relationships
Conversant with relevant international standards and Codes or Practice and their application to design, procurement and construction activities, dependent on project work scope
Rejuvenation and brownfield experience
Experience in corrective maintenance & modification execution
Worked in an EPC environment
Working knowledge of Shells DEPs and SAP CMMS system
Member of a recognized institution and registered Professional Engineer / Chartered Engineer
