Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist focused on Payroll and Benefits.? As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be instrumental in contributing to the People Operations, utilizing HR processes and benefits/payroll strategies. Your focus is to help continually build out these functions as our teams grow and scale. You?ll work hand-in-hand with our HR and Finance teams, as well as leaders across all departments to be our brand ambassador.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Full-cycle payroll preparation and processing for exempt, non-exempt and commission staff in multiple states, including International payroll in the following countries, Japan, UK and Canada. Validate calculation of wages and deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
? Responsible for balancing payroll, preparing journal entries and providing Finance and Leadership post-processing reports and supporting documentation.
? Manage and ensure the accuracy of all payroll, on-boarding/off-boarding, status changes, benefits enrollments in HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow) and in relevant systems to provide vendors and employees with accurate information. This includes setting up new hires in the system, tracking and managing all changes on a standing basis.
? Perform quality benefits-related and 401K/5500 audits with vendors (Fidelity/Cigna, MetLife) and Finance on a quarterly basis. This also includes supporting the Sr HRBP with EEOC reporting and compliance audits.
? Support year-end benefits, payroll and tax required reporting.
? Respond promptly to payroll inquiries, analyze issues and recommend corrective action.
? Manage/lead first point of contact relationship with our benefit brokers and providers, partner with Head of HR on key findings, benefit trends and strategic HR initiatives.
? Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. This includes 401(k) inquiries along with questions on timesheets/payroll.
? Administer, process and maintain company benefit programs including, but not limited to, health & welfare plans, short and long-term disability, 401k plans, FSA and HSA, COBRA and leaves of absence.
? Serve as employee advocate for the resolution of benefit questions and issues.? Work with internal and external resources to resolve issues regarding eligibility and claims.
? Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve payroll & benefit operations and streamline work processes.? Maintain knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.
? Manage all data input for HRIS (ADP) for team changes. Audit all of the benefits partners.
? Manage HRIS implementation of new systems and system enhancements as it relates to payroll and benefits.? Manage internal and external benefits systems and information portals, including accurate and timely system entries, testing and content management.
? Assist with the Annual Benefits / Open Enrollment process / administration ? experience working on benefit enrollment, plan design and administration is a plus.
? Provide necessary reports for allocation / billing charges, data/file feeds, audits and monthly headcount.
? Perform other job-related duties as assigned and assist with execution of projects and initiatives within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
? 4+ years of experience in processing payroll and benefits preferred
? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
? Strong Knowledge of HRIS, Payroll and Benefit technology systems and data interface experience is strongly preferred.
? Ethical Practice in payroll and benefits management for employees
? Detail oriented with a passion for working with data and conduct HR/Finance analyses to drive solutions.
? Able to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Team player with a ?can do? attitude.
