Urgent Hiring: Sales Clerk/ Sales Utility Clerk - Quezon City / Pasig / Manila (Full Time)

Sales Clerk/Sales Utility Clerk is responsible for performing over- the - counter selling through knowledgeable courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service.
1. Maintains efficient / effective customer service at all times.
- Gives pleasant/ cheerful smile to customers and greets them accordingly.
- Acknowledge the presence of customers ; listens and pays attention to their needs.
- Attends to customer complaints with eagerness and understanding
- Thanks the customer at the end of every transaction.
2. Performs the following functions to attain given sales quota:
- Attends and assists the customers in the selection and choice of merchan style, color or size.
- Directs the customers to the nearest counter for the payment of the merchandise.
- Replenishes stocks on display and ensures availability of stocks in the selling area.
- Arranges display of stocks. Maintains good housekeeping through proper storage, cleanliness
- and orderliness of the work area to ensure a systematic flow of work and prevent accidents.
3. Adheres to the guidelines and policies relative to the store’s campaign on customer service.
4. Safeguards merchandise in his/ her area from shoplifting, breakage and damages.
5. Assists in the periodic inventory taking of the department and branch as well.
6. Maintains orderliness of work area to ensure systematic flow of work ; ensures proper storage and cleanliness as a preventive measure against fire or other accidents.
7. Sees to it that all merchandise/ items and other equipment in the selling area and those in his/ her custody are well secured and accounted for.
8. Ensure that merchandise are displayed according to the standards.
9. Marks or re-tags price on merchandise during price mark-up or markdowns.
10. Cleans and maintains display fixtures and equipment.
11. May calculate sales discounts to determine price.
12. Maintains awareness of all promotions
13. Execute the daily operational, day to day goals and priorities assigned by store management
14. Assist in training and development of peers
15. Uphold merchandising including new items delivered and store cleanliness standards.
16. Responsive of safety issues
17. Conscious of shoplifting incident
18. Aid customers in locating merchandise in the store, AceHardware.ph, as well as processing special orders.
19. Solicit customers to sign up for SM Advantage card.
Job Specification
- College level
- Not more than 25 years old
- With selling experience
- At least 5’6 “ in height
- With pleasing personality and can communicate well in both Tagalog and English
