WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE?
SOC Network Engineering Team Lead is responsible for the operations and performance of the SOC Network Engineering Manila team, providing guidance with maintaining tools, recommending new tools, updating systems and having the Manila team provide 24/7 support regarding technical inquiries and technical issues. The Team Lead takes the role of a subject matter expert (SME) and is a point of escalation for problem resolution, when necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the 24/7 support provided by the Manila team, acting as the subject matter expert (SME) regarding technical inquiries and technical issues concerning hardware, software and problems encountered in the network.
Engaged in performance driving, focused planning and goal development.
Evaluate and recommend strategies, operations for monitoring, maintaining, and evolving network and security infrastructure
Create and distribute reports to update the company or appropriate personnel on the team’s progress and accomplishments
Coordinates with onshore management team in handling customer-related escalations to resolve any discrepancies in the service agreement and delivery
Ensure network systems are compatible and compliance with standards for open systems architectures, International Standards Organization (ISO)
Research, evaluate, recommend and implement new network and security infrastructure solutions
Monitor staff member work and prioritized tasks according to company objectives
Update installed based quantity and update spare inventory.
Attends maintenance meetings for pending concerns, difficulties encountered in the network, and open tickets issued.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must have recent and significant work experience in a Security company, or MSSP or support/incident response scenario, or similar companies.
Must have a minimum of 5 years Network Engineering experience with strong network security & routing skills
Extensive experience with either Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco or checkpoint hardware
Proficient in IPsec/VPN, IP/MPLS (Routing & Switching), and with solid Firewall Experience – provisioning, migrating & supporting (preferably Fortinet, however Cisco / Checkpoint / Palo are all acceptable)
Any wifi experience highly regarded, as is any experience with Backup, Mail or WAF services
