Your team
As a member of Avaloq’s global design team you will become a part of a talented and highly motivated group of Designers, Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineers, and Architects that are responsible for shaping Avaloq’s product offering. You will play an integral role in this process by ensuring a design driven and user centered innovation and development approach that leads to solutions that work for people. You will gain a deep understanding of the design and implementation of large-scale applications for the financial industry and get the chance to influence the future of banking.
Facilitate the stakeholder's product vision by researching, ideating, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products
Translate concepts or user stories and deliver wireframes, user flows, and mock-ups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces that lead to intuitive user experiences
Take design and user experience decisions related to both building new functionality and adapting existing features
Contribute to the improvement and evolution of an internal design system
Ensure a seamless handover process to facilitate the UI development phase
Stay up to date on industry products, trends and technologies
3 years experience working as UX or Interaction Design
Degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or qualification in a related field
Expertise in UX software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD and prototyping tools like Invision or similar tools
A solid grasp of user centred design and a passion for resolving user problems and pain points in digital products
Sound understanding of mobile first, adaptive, and responsive design
Outside the box thinking, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and a passion for other areas of product development and innovation
Excellent verbal and written communication as well as strong problem solving abilities
Visual or UI design skills and basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, etc.
Familiarity with Material Design
Experience with consumer facing and SaaS applications, knowledge of the financial industry
