Technical Writer (It Program Management)

Bachelor’s degree in English communications or IT-related field;
Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience as Technical Writer in an IT program/project with a solid background in developing documentation with IT professionals and SMEs. Equivalent experience in a business program/project may be considered;
Knowledgeable in basic graphics and screen capture techniques;
Experience with developing IT processes and procedures;
Ability to quickly learn a comprehensive set of IT-related concepts and workflows;
Strong English written and oral communication skills;
Ability to balance short and long-term priorities while working well with teams;
Self-driven and can work with minimal supervision within a diverse cultural environment; and
Proficient in using O365, Visio and collaborative tools like Microsoft Teams, with willingness to learn other ADB tools relevant to the work.
As part of the portfolio and project delivery support resource pool of ITPM, the Technical Writer will report to the IT Specialist (Portfolio Management) and Senior IT Officer (Portfolio Management) for overall portfolio and project support activities in developing and reviewing documents and reports;
Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of project, system and process documentation (including content, flow, and format of documents) that are accurate and aligned to the frameworks and document standards guiding the management and delivery of ITD programs and projects;
Identifies and addresses gaps in existing portfolio and project documentation;
Drafts / develops new reference manuals, process workflows, diagrams and presentations that relates to the documentation being developed;
Coordinates with various groups in the circulation, revision, approval and publication of documents developed;
Conducts in-depth interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the projects, procedures, services and processes that require documentation;
Prepares and/or assists in the creation of write-ups, articles and content for ITD or ITPM publications and digital sites.
