Responsibilities: Develops a strong understanding of domestic tax concepts through study and application.
Demonstrates knowledge of tax legislation, case law, and regulations by analyzing, researching, and applying them consistently.
Prepares and reviews accurate tax analyses, computations, and returns for straightforward cases.
Utilizes local research tools, software, and technology to produce precise and comprehensive tax work.
Applies tax risk management procedures effectively.
Identifies potential tax planning opportunities and escalates them when appropriate.
Ensures compliance with firm and regulatory confidentiality and privacy policies.
Keeps technical knowledge up to date by attending mandatory tax training and applying insights to tax work.
Engages with clients, revenue authorities, and team members to discuss key tax issues and conflicting regulations.
Interprets and applies tax laws to perform compliance and advisory tasks.
Analyzes tax authorities and draws conclusions on moderately complex issues.
Monitors tax law changes, regulatory updates, and industry trends, assessing their impact on client engagements.
Reviews junior staff's work to ensure the accuracy and sufficiency of tax analyses and conclusions.
Prepares well-structured, clear, and comprehensive technical tax reports.
Qualifications: Fresh law graduates, underbar candidates, or newly admitted members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) are welcome to apply.
Preferably a member of the IBP; CPA certification is an advantage but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
