Quezon CityProvides 24x7 Tier 3 operational support for a variety of server systems in all environments. Responsibilities include system installation, monitoring, tuning, implementing and testing upgrades, patches and scripts, implementing backup and recovery strategies, developing documentation, providing technical support and resolving incidents and performance problems.
'Works on small to medium size projects using generally-defined practices, solving diverse problems with some instruction from peers and other teams.
Installs, upgrades and provides monitoring and troubleshooting support of enterprise server systems.
Provides input on standards relating to server technology, architecture and processes (security, performance, backup and recovery, etc.).
Implements server system patches and upgrades.
Tests and implements backup and recovery strategies.
Supports server system design and/or appropriate configuration changes, new installations for small to medium sized projects.
Performs problem management, performance analysis and capacity planning duties.
Graduate of Computer Science or Information Technology
With 3-5 years solid experience in this field
Extensive exposure on server OS and Hardware
Intermediate knowledge of:Networking discipline
shell scripting
third party Software installation
application support - Apache, , Oracle, MySQL
enterprise monitoring/server predictability performance trending and reporting
performance tuning
patch deployment/systems management
System hardening environment security
SW/HW problem determination and resolution
backup monitoring and troubleshooting
server decommissioning
Strong written and verbal communication skills
