We are Trend Micro VR/AR team.
What do we do?
VR/AR has the potential to become the next major computing platform. The team will focus on VR/AR related technology research and product development. The team's task is to master and research the latest technology and develop new product lines. Because of the nature of the team and emerging areas, we often need to experiment with different applications and techniques. At the same time, the team will also explore cybersecurity? and work on cross-domain integration at the appropriate time.
What don't we do?
Content development is not the direction of the team. Although content development is not our focus, user interaction and experience of VR/AR is within the research scope of the team.

We are not a pure research unit. We often need to develop new products or PoC from scratch.

Who do we need and what skills are required?
Familiarity with C/C++ is a must, with practical experience in development (Windows or Linux)

At least 5 years experiences in streaming domain development.

Knowing at least one script language (Python, Javascript, or others) which can be used in daily work automation.

Being enthusiastic about learning techniques and different fields, willing to accept challenges, and able to read English documents quickly.

Good communication skills and creativity.

Able to provide advice and enjoy teamwork and share information. Belief in the possibilities and potential for VR/AR.

Bonus points:
Software design, process and architecture planning

1. Software system design skills and experience (bonus points)
2. Experience in product development from scratch (bonus points)
Streaming

1. Know WebRTC operation process(es) and also have practical experience (bonus points)
2. Have knowledge and experience of real-time streaming, protocol. (bonus points)
VR/AR

1. Unity/Unreal experience (bonus points)
2. Knowledge of computer graphics (bonus points) VR/AR UI/UX design experience or ideas.
3. Being able to make mockups to show and discuss ideas. (bonus points)
4. Direct X (bonus points)
Web

1. Experience in website front-end or back-end development and use Azure services. (bonus points)
