Primary Responsibilities:
Develop the ETL using SSIS and the reporting using Power BI / SSRS/ Tableau
Develop advanced BI applications using the MS BI stack including SSAS, SSIS, T-SQL/stored procedures as well as MDX
SSRS report development / deployment
Analyze and improve existing dashboards, reports and reporting systems
Design and develop Business Intelligence solutions using multidimensional cubes including MOLAP and ROLAP
Provide training and expertise to business users and other stakeholders on utilizing SSAS cubes for their reporting needs
Design functional specs for BI front end applications including dash boards and reporting, considering appropriate data flow and capture
Work closely with the Data Architecture team and provide technical design recommendations on the data mart structures which support analytical applications
Work with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes, and translates them into functional and non-functional specifications for BI solutions
Identify problem trends and corrective actions and documenting these through modification of existing best practices guidelines
Provide expertise and guidance to other developers in the use of the toolset
Perform the day to day functions such as running of existing programs, applications, jobs, reviewing logs for errors, writing or editing software and code, performing testing activities, and updating documentation
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of experience delivering solutions utilizing the entire Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSIS) and SSRS
4+ years of experience with SQL Server/T-SQL programming in creation and optimization of stored procedures, triggers and user defined functions
4+ years of experience working in a data warehouse environment and a strong understanding of dimensional data modeling concepts
4+ years of Microsoft SQL Server database development (TSQL) experience
Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions
WFM knowledge - metrics and its formulas, etc.
Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
Proven strong relationship-building and communication skills with team members and business users
Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly
Preferred Qualification:
Knowledge of current Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, VB.NET, ASP.Net, MVC, and SharePoint
