The Solution Consulting Data Analyst works cross-functionally to analyze new opportunities and expand relationships within major account relationships in order to provide credibility in the evaluation cycle. They will analyze the client’s or prospect’s business, performing situational diagnosis, and supporting the creation of business cases. Responsible for ensuring partnership economics are solid and commitments made in the evaluation cycle are reasonable for successful execution of new initiatives. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature, with occasional direction on new assignments.
Essential Functions - Duties and Responsibilities
Lead / interact with prospects to obtain relevant data related to the performance of their recurring revenue businesses. Regularly demonstrates expertise around data analyses to prospect/customer
Perform multiple moderately complex quantitative analyses, on-time, for each prospect to support business case development, ROI analysis and pricing. Complexity of the data can vary based on several factors such as client size, number of systems, varying levels of established structures, or dynamics of customer. Independently creates analysis output materials for presentation to prospect
Manage conflicting priorities, weighing urgency and importance, independently in the face of ambiguity. Adapt quickly and respond to changing analysis requests and articulates the impact of change on operational processes and outputs. Set clear expectations with all relevant stakeholders and delivers output according to agreed deadlines
Assess renewal readiness of prospects’ data for completeness, accuracy and accessibility
Manage data collection and preparation using tools such as Alteryx, Excel and SQL from ERP, CRM and BI systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce.com, Business Objects, etc.)
Build customized data models for calculating prospects’ renewal opportunity, historical performance and forward opportunity across multiple dimensions (contract, customer, product, business unit, region, channel, etc.) to support improvement quantification
Provide analyses, insights, and recommendations to Solution Consulting based on learnings from data analysis around key measures of success (such as retention, downsells, upsells, cross-sells). Share best practices with other team members
Proactively identify and provide additional analyses surrounding multi-year agreements, renewals timing. product migrations, renewal policy and terms changes and other unique trends in prospects’ businesses
Proactively identify risks/issues around analyses and generate solutions to solve risks
Interact with all levels of management (both internally and prospect / client organizations) to work through data quality / anomalies, validate results, and present/communicate initial findings
Apply knowledge of prospects’ renewal business and reporting in combination with performance analysis to gain prospects’ trust and alignment through rigorous and comprehensive analysis reviews and presentations
Manage client communication surrounding the data analysis, with input of Solution Consulting lead
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Proficient problem solving and quantitative analytical skills, including the ability to complete complex data analyses in tools such as Excel
Demonstrated ability of strong presentation skills with a developing executive presence
An interest in data analysis and structure is critical to success in the role
Developing communication and teamwork skills; ability to inspire trust and confidence in others
Attention to detail, thoroughness and high level of accountability
2 – 5 years of related experience to reflect skills and talent necessary for this role preferred¹; experience conducting quantitative analysis of business issues in a consulting, sales or industry environment required
Ability to be successful with work that is generally independent and collaborative in nature
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma or the equivalent preferred
Prior experience working with a sales team is valuable for this role
Prior experience with Alteryx platform is valuable for this roleCompetencies
