Since some of our clients will be Japanese companies and usually the language will be the major obstacle between our engineer team and clients. Because of its highly technical characteristics, this position requires technical background in addition to the ability to speak fluent Japanese and English. This position is to apply knowledge gained in course works or any of previous technical experiences to facilitate the communication between engineers and clients, while participating in the development as an engineer at the same time.
Since we are aiming to become a highly skilled engineer group, we also plan to provide solutions with cutting edge technologies like AI and blockchains.
Qualifications
Fluent in Japanese.
Understanding of Japanese culture.
Business level English.
Experience in Software Development and coding in a general purpose programming language inside or outside of school or work (including open source hobby coding).
Preferred qualifications
Experience with any of PHP, Twig, TypeScript (JavaScript), SCSS (CSS), HTML, October CMS, Laravel, Bootstrap, composer, npm, jQuery, git, Nginx, Ubuntu, and Docker.
Understanding of key concepts of computer science, such as object oriented programming, and data structure.
Experience in web application development.
Experience with Linux system administration.
Demonstrated interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
Responsibilities
Understand technical requirements.
Help communicate Japanese client who do not speak English and engineers who do not speak Japanese.
Translate documents between Japanese and English.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Design, implement, maintain and improve tests and test tools.
Improve development environment.
