Software Test Engineer-19000ULW Preferred Qualifications The QA Signoff team is responsible for ensuring the health and quality of deployments of the software emergency fixes, phased upgrades and production maintenance tasks related to changes in the infrastructure requiring a general molecule or maintenance specific sign-off procedure.
Responsibilities:Performs verification to confirm if the Infra related maintenance related to cut-overs, new hardware or firmware deployment, box relocation are good based on established procedures or comparable to baseline.Data center and molecule sign-off to ensure availability and expected functionality. Identify issues as early as possible, filing a ticket and making follow-ups on closure of those issues discovered during and after a maintenance work.Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.Process improvements related to sign-off automations and defining required verification steps for new maintenance types and maintain documentations.Work with the Product and OpsMaintenance team towards closure of issues that are blocking the release deployment of software emergency fixes and feature upgrades.Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes.
Qualifications/Skills:BS in Computer Science, IT or relevant related education.Strong understanding of Product Development and maintenance processes, (including the responsibilities of Development, QA and Release Engineering).2+ years’ experience working on technical products and/or in technical support teamsHigh-level understanding of website architecture (HTML, JavaScript), SQL, APIs, and related web technologiesUnderstanding of Agile development methodology / SCRUM terminologyOutstanding follow-up and organizational skillsExperience coordinating with product teams’ in ensuring timely delivery to appropriate release vehiclesFlexibility in terms of task, workloads and schedule are critical for this positionComfortable working on urgent issues as they come, even when alerted during off hoursWeekend night shift schedule and on call rotational scheduleExcellent written and oral communication (English)“
