These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
Effectively communicate with IT and business stakeholders with varying levels of authority and responsibility
Liaise between Business Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Engineering team and Project Management group
Gather requirements, analyze and design solutions as part of software development life cycle
Translate business needs into actionable documentation/specifications, including use case scenarios, models and conceptual design diagrams to support iterative development
Evaluate and present solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution
Define, document and coordinate the functional system specifications
Analyze and revise existing functional and technical documentation
Plan and manage assignments of varying scope
Participate in developer led code reviews & documentation
Participate in test prep and planning activities, as well as defect triage to ensure projects are on track
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience building and shipping production software in a scaled distributed environment
Experience in the building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle like Agile/Scrum, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field)
Knowledge of a variety of modern programming languages (Java, Groovy, JavaScript), open-source technologies like Spring, Springboot, Angular JS, ORM (Hibernate, MyBatis), JQuery, Kafka messaging and streaming, Cloud Computing (OpenShift/AWS), Microservices architecture, database technologies (Oracle/MySQL), JasperReport, Jenkins, Maven
Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Deployment Strategies
Desire to continuously improve and evolve all aspects of the work environment
Passion for automation and simplicity
Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical colleagues
Capable of learning things independently
Preferred Qualification:
Knowledgeable in HTML/CSS, SOAP and RESTful Web Services, Visio or any UML Diagramming Tools and any Automated Test-Driven Development tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit, Spock and other similar frameworks to verify code quality
