KEY OBJECTIVE:
- Log and track product defects as encountered.
- Create, implement and maintain test plans and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned areas to ensure product quality by exposing defects, identifying regressions, and verifying resolutions.
- Enhance the test tools/infrastructure, aim to integrate with an automated testing framework with flexibility and simplicity.
- Ensure Oracle Real Application Cluster functions well with specific configurations, including various workloads, network, storage.
- Ensure quality of new ease-of-use features to provide proactive, predictive, and lower risks to our customers.
- Ensure quality of post-release patching by understanding new feature/enhancement and verifying various fixes.
- Product training and user documentation review
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years experience in database environments and configuring/or testing/or administrating Oracle database in Production/Testing environments.
- Good understanding of system architecture and terminology, including hardware, Os internal, network and database software.
- Must have experiences on Linux.
- Experience in test automation.
- Proficiency in Shell or Perl or Python or other programming languages
- Experience in clustered server environments (e.g. Oracle RAC) is a plus.
- Experience on Linux virtualization technologies (e.g. Oracle VM/Xen/KVM) is a plus.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
