Job Overview
I am setting up an online social media brand around life as a gay doctor in the UK. No medical training or knowledge is required as I will handle anything technical.
The brand will involve managing instagram and youtube accounts as well as possibly help with my website. Given that I work long hours as a doctor I am looking for someone to manage these social media accounts day to day on my behalf. As a result the job will involve:
Instagram:
- I will provide photos which you will need to edit in a consistent, aesthetic style
- Posting these photos on a regular schedule and writing basic annotations for them
- Responding to comments on these photos
- Commenting on similar instagram accounts' photos to help develop a following
- Research/analyse my best posts (and other similar content) so I know how to improve
- Using your initiative and experience to help build the followers
Youtube:
- Basic editing of videos I make (if you can do graphics, annotations, special effects etc it is a plus)
- Responding to comments on these videos
- Commenting on similar youtube accounts' videos to help develop a following
- Research/analyse my best videos (and other similar content) so I know how to improve
- Using your initiative and experience to help build the subscribers
Website (optional) :
- I own a website but haven't had time to fully build yet, so any experience with designing websites would be a plus.
An understanding of social media, viral trends (and keeping up to date with viral trends), good english skills and the ability to write in a friendly, engaging style are essential.
Since it is a new business I am hoping to take a collaborative approach, treating the situation like partners/a team working together to build a brand. I want someone who will be engaged, who thinks for themself, makes suggestions and has some of their own ideas to contribute. So to put you above and beyond, I would also really appreciate someone with their suggestions for topics/picture ideas, feedback on what is trending/going viral, ways for both of us to improve.
Overall, the job is to help me build an online following for my brand to the best of your ability.
