**Responsibilities**:
The SOC Analyst will provide level 1 support to the managed security services team.
This role will be responsible for monitoring alerts from various security tools for security compliance and for possible threats in the user environment.
Additional responsibilities include working with clients, vendors, and other support teams to ensure successful delivery of security services.
**Security Monitoring**
- Detects threats using various security tools
- Performs triage by analyzing alerts to determine if false positive or not
- Provides initial analysis on the threat detected
- Prioritize alerts & incidents
**Incident Management**
- Performs initial problem identification and attempts to resolve an incident or issue
- Performs incident notification and escalation to ensure problems, request, or issues are communicated effectively and receiving proper management attention
- Logs ticket to ensure incidents are documented and proper actions taken
- Monitor and track incidents to ensure resolution occurs within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
**Platform Support**
- Performs basic performance and availability checks of various security tools
- Automation Support
- Review SOAR playbook and workflow as needed
- Ensure SOAR automation is working correctly
**Others**
- Maintains internal procedural standards or runbooks related to the role
- Documenting process improvements and common problems
- Participate in knowledge sharing with other analysts and provide recommendations for improvements
**Qualifications**:
- Graduate of Bachelor's Degree course, preferably IT related courses
- Must have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Open to higher years of experience.
Role calibration will be done during skills interview.
- Basic understanding of computer fundamentals (hardware and software)
- Working knowledge on MS Windows or Linux
- Basic network fundamentals
- Good oral and written communication skills
**Nice to Have**:
- Basic security fundamentals such as types of threats, attack vectors, network vulnerabilities and attacks, user authentication, permissions, password policies, audit policies, cryptography, internet security, wireless security, and core security principles
- Basic knowledge on various security tools such as Antivirus (AV), Antispam (AS), Firewalls (FW), Intrusion Detection / Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Security Information & Event Management (SIEM), Content Filtering, Vulnerability Management

**Salary**: Php28,000.00 - Php178,000.00 per month
