Software Quality Assurance (Qa) Engineer

Job Description:
Develops test cases from specification documents, & executes test cases against the test platform. Perform manual & regression testing of applications. Perform black & white box testing. Assist the team researching & testing production issue. Assist the team with testing in release rehearsals. Assist the team with testing releases in production. Minimum Qualifications:
College Degree in IT, Business, or relevant field experience Minimum of 2 years' experience working with a software quality assurance team Automated & mobile testing experience is a plus for this job Experienced in manual & regression testing Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus for this job Understanding of MySQL or other rational databases MS applications (Excel, Word & Visio) Key skills Knowledge of a broad range of software applications and of hardware and networks A good understanding of business Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture A creative mindset – and the ability to approach a problem creatively Good communications skills, both written and verbal Strong IT skills A meticulous approach to work Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
