Job purpose
Responsible for cost reduction, profit improvement, elimination of waste, increasing speed of execution, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and for developing and implementing Quality strategies to enable II-VI PACC to become the worldwide leader in all targeted markets Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Business Quality Management System used in Santa Rosa. This includes the ISO 9001 system, interfacing with customers on quality issues, handling external audits, and helping to design and install a quality system designed to create the highest product quality at the lowest cost in the industry. Member of Senior Leadership Team, which leads the company and sets strategic direction. Responsible for budgeting, and managing departmental operations, such as quality lab operations, calibration and complaint management. Ultimately responsible for assuring that the overall Quality System enables II-VI PACC to increase market share and profitability while maintaining the #1 market leader position in all selected markets.
Duties and responsibilities
1)Directs II-VI PACC Quality System and Processes.
2) Directs day-to-day activities in Quality Department.
3) Directs the establishment of Quality and Process Improvement based cultures leading to performance excellence.
4) Directs Quality support for support groups such as operations, engineering, and marketing with gathering and analyzing data worldwide.
5) Directs and assures the effectiveness of internal and external auditing processes.
6) Communicate with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues, including quality audits, and warranty returns to assure highest levels of customer satisfaction.
7) Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, regulatory compliance, and competency.
Qualifications
Minimum of a four-year college degree.
10 years of relevant experience.
Able to balance financial and quality objectives.
Statistical expertise.
Audit expertise.
Able to solve complex problems using intuition, induction, deduction, analysis of data, and complex quality tools.
Experience with Advanced Quality Management and knowledge of various quality systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, TS 16949, TL-9000, AS9100, MBNQA, and others.
Able to think critically and able to reengineer all elements of the Quality System to remove waste of time and dollars, while increasing Quality performance
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to comprehend (including technical concepts) and communicate at a high level with Senior Managers, customers, distributors, and principals at different purchasing and engineering levels
Ability to anticipate and handle multiple priorities and complex/abstract issues involving external and internal priorities
Handle special assignments promptly and professionally.
Ability to identify a best practice, and integrate it into a complex corporate strategy.
Possesses writing skill, and can develop manuals and procedures.
Expertise in instructional design and teaching skill.
Is comfortable interfacing with customers, including auditors.
Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Working conditions
The job may require some working hours outside of a typical 8AM 5PM assignment. This is because of the international operations of II-VI, and our need to support our employees in many time zones.
Physical requirements
The job may involve some international and domestic travel.
