Job Description

Arc XP (www.arcxp.com )is a cloud-based digital experience platform that helps enterprise companies, retail brands and media and entertainment organizations create and distribute content, drive digital commerce, and deliver powerful multichannel experiences. A division of The Washington Post, Arc XP has powered the digital transformation of customers across the globe, currently serving more than 1,500 sites in 25+ countries that reach more than 1.5 billion unique visitors monthly.

Built 100% on AWS, the Arc platform follows a microservice architecture. All of our software teams use dev ops to deliver and maintain products. Our processes are lightweight, which allows our teams to innovate quickly to bring new ideas to market. New features and products are deployed to our customer base every day.

Arc works hard to ensure that new customers have an amazing, turnkey experience available for them out of the box. In particular, we know that migrating to a new platform and launching new websites has the potential to take months of highly custom, labor-intensive development effort. To reduce this complexity, Arc provides more than just the platform, and provides best-in-market platform-supported customizable web experiences to help customers get to market more quickly. As we expand into new customer segments, our need in this area is expanding as well.

The Arc team is in need of aSenior Product Managerto drive the expansion of the PageBuilder Themes product into new customer verticals, in particular, B2C eCommerce sites. This role will manage both the strategy and execution of our web experiences product for eCommerce customers, empowering these customers to launch faster and focus on differentiation by starting them off with an industry-best, mobile-first B2C storefront experience. This work will entail all elements of the storefront, merchandising and checkout experience; far from a single site, this product is a framework for launching thousands of enterprise-scale sites and includes a design system, SDK, web components and omnichannel feeds that can be configured and customized by users.

In this role, you will use client feedback to drive platform and feature improvement, while also looking to the overall business goals of Arc to drive a long-term, strategic roadmap for our PageBuilder Themes eCommerce product. You will be responsible for researching, identifying and prioritizing potential customer needs and defining a strategic roadmap as well as individual product features that can address those needs in both the short and long term. Ultimately, you will also work directly with the engineering team to implement your roadmap.

You should come with deep experience in the eCommerce space, fully prepared to take the lessons you have learned managing high-scale commerce storefronts and applying that experience at platform scale. You have opinions on mobile checkout, engagement analytics, merchandising optimization through testing and personalization, and how site performance optimization can drive conversion. You have experience in an enterprise SaaS environment, and are excited by the idea of productizing a best-in-class B2C storefront experience in a way that is capable of serving the world’s largest businesses, but that can be maintained and operated as software-as-a-service.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of organizational, execution, communication, and critical thinking skills — and a commitment to constantly improve the customer experience. This is a senior-level position and the candidate will be expected to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time. Arc is a large software offering used in many ways by different types of customers; you need to be comfortable collaborating across a variety of technical and non-technical teams, and you need to be able to communicate effectively with both. You also should be comfortable communicating with customers, including senior stakeholders on customer teams.

Critical Functions
Develop, execute, and maintain a transparent, strategic roadmap for your product
Lead prioritization on an ongoing basis by clearly articulating user problems, delivery timelines, trade-offs, objectives, and key results for various initiatives
Assist with all aspects of the product lifecycle, including strategy, product requirements definition, design, competitive research, marketing, forecasting, launch plans, testing, and future enhancements
Establish self as subject-matter expert on your products, best practices, competition, and the latest industry trends
Regularly track product performance and success metrics, and report them to stakeholders

Qualifications
5-10 years of digital and/or product management experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience analyzing customer feedback, user research, and performance data to guide product feature development
Working knowledge of Agile processes and principles
Ability to communicate cross-functionally among sales, marketing, technical, and executive teams, explaining complex concepts using appropriate terminology for stakeholders
Product experience in a high-scale B2C eCommerce environment required
Product experience at a SaaS product company, ideally enterprise/B2B, strongly preferred
Excel at both written and spoken communication.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, agile environment, while also leading process improvement efforts.
Power to influence others and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity.

The Post strives to provide its readers with high-quality, trustworthy news and information while constantly innovating. That mission is best served by a diverse, multi-generational workforce with varied life experiences and perspectives. All cultures and backgrounds are welcomed.
