Senior Process Calibration Technician- 3rd shift
The calibration technician’s primary duties are to provide maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting support for facility and manufacturing critical systems. This is done by testing and calibrating electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, analytical and measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards using engineering principles.
This is a 3rd shift position(Sunday- Thursday 11PM – 7:30AM)
The Role
Perform planned, unplanned, and preventative calibration work on manufacturing and utility systems, building automation & controls, and interface with PLCsExamples include but not limited to: WFI, Clean Steam, HVAC, Compressed Gases, Waste Treatment, CIP, Autoclaves, Glassware Washers, vessels, Cold/Warm equipment & rooms, Control Systems, and Aseptic Filling systems
Interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, wiring diagrams, user manuals and specifications
Keep Production, Maintenance, and Quality staff and management team of notified of calibration status of all instruments in the program.
Willing to support other technicians and engineers in the conduct of their work
Organize and maintain the calibrations bench / lab
Communicate and support third party calibration service providers which may include review of supplied certificates and/or service reports
Maintain trained and certified status as required in cGMP, GLP, HR, and industry procedures as required
Able to work well in a team-oriented environment with a focus on results
Support internal, Client, and Regulatory Agency audits as required
The Candidate
High School diploma (required) with 3-5 years of relevant experience or vocational training
Basic mechanical skills and education
Basic hand tools skills
Computer skills / Electronic Work Orders
Associates Degree Preferred
Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
