Summary:
Oracle's NetSuite Global Business Unit is seeking a strategic Senior Manager of Resource Management Office (RMO) for its Customer Success (CS) team to enhance its operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role will partner with multiple internal groups including Services Delivery leaders, Operations, and Business Planning teams. This position will manage a team of Resource Managers/Planners/Analysts as part of the Global Consulting Operations team and provide thought leadership for strategic planning on resource management for a rapidly evolving global Consulting organization.
Responsibilities include:
Identify and lead initiatives to optimize resource assignment in the CS Consulting organization
Provide guidance in the RMO team’s planning, organizing, and coordinating the long-range and day-to-day assignment of resources to help ensure the appropriate consultants are properly assigned to projects
Analyse data and trends to drive improvements, efficiencies, and process controls to help achieve resource utilization and CSAT objectives
Develop and present executive-level key metrics reports and analysis
Act as the Single Point of Contact of CS leaders in the CS Operations team as it pertains to Resource Management
Mentor and train Resource Managers/Analysts
Miscellaneous reporting and process documentation
Special projects as needed
Qualifications include:
Must have minimum of 3 years of solid experience in managing an RMO team overseeing a large-scale and global Consulting delivery organization
8+ years’ related experience in the software industry in the areas of Consulting, Operations, Project Management and other related functions
Actual prior experience as a Resource Planner or Resource Manager is an advantage
Experience with resource planning software and time management tools is required
Experience in IT-related consulting as a Project Manager or Implementation Consultant is an advantage
Solid people-management skills and effective mentor to other managers
Excellent oral and written communication skills; exhibits ability and confidence in working and communicating with VP-level executives in different regions
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think laterally when conceptualising solutions
Experience in managing data in a dynamic environment
Able to work independently, prioritize and resolve problems
Able to work in a team environment
Bachelor’s Degree required
Experience using ERP software applications, like NetSuite, is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and Powerpoint
Willing to work North America shift attend meetings outside regular business hours when needed
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency. Provides business practices and processes. Drives policies and procedures that monitor and support the organization*s operational and financial business objectives. Provides analysis and advice to management in the areas of operations, resource management, finance, revenue accounting, pricing, and/or contracts. May also be responsible for administration, knowledge management, and/or communications.Develops and monitor P&L forecasts. Develops and monitor metrics to measure other key performance indicators and group performance. Performs competitive analysis. Creates pricing strategy and cost accounting (business modeling) for projects. Reviews contracts for terms, pricing and approvals. Work with account team to close deals. Interfaces with client to resolve contract/delivery disputes. May be responsible for directing resource management staff, ensuring maximum utilization. May be involved with compensation and bonus process. Manage at least two direct reports.Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.
